  • Good Friday Service

What is the gospel? It’s a straightforward question that yields a remarkable range of responses. Greg Gilbert surveys some characteristic examples on p. 18 of his book on the subject."The good news is, God wants to show you his incredible favor.

  • Thanksgiving Picnic

One of my favorite Kingsway traditions occurs annually on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Our church lines up behind a microphone and takes turns expressing gratitude to God for the ways he has blessed us over the last year. I have distinct memories of men, women and children praising God in the midst of the most painful life circumstances.

  • Baptism Class

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (Romans 6:3-4)  Baptism Sundays are some of my favorite meetings of the entire year.

  • Starting Point

Do I really need to be a member of a particular, local church? Ever heard that question before? Maybe you’ve even asked it yourself.

  • Ladies Worship Night

Women young and old are invited to an evening of worship, prayer, and testimonies on Wednesday, July 15 at 7:30pm in the Seminar Room. Kelsey Fernandez will be leading us in song. Several ladies will also share some of the work God did through the Philippians summer study we just finished.

  • New Member Sunday

We are serious about local church membership because God is serious about local church membership. Think of it this way. Jesus didn't save us so we could attend a 90 minute Christian meeting once a week.

  • 2015 Youth Lock-in

We love creating environments where students can build friendships with other students who are passionate about following Jesus. That's the motivation behind our 3rd annual Youth Lock-in taking place on June 19-20. It's a combined activity for our Frontline & Impact ministries.

  • Youth Camp 2015

Over the last year, our Frontline and Impact meetings have all focused on multiplying, following Jesus by helping other people follow Jesus. It's what the Bible calls "making disciples." Making disciples starts with being a disciple. You can't lead someone to follow Jesus if you're not already following him yourself.

  • No Picnic in June or July

Here's a quick heads up for the planners among us who are already wondering if we're having a church-wide lunch a week from Sunday. We've decided to cancel our first Sunday picnics for June & July for two reasons. Many folks are on vacation during these months, including the July 4 weekend.

  • Ladies Summer Bible Study

I love to study the Bible, and for a long time have looked for a book that would help us learn to study God’s Word in an easy, understandable way. Last fall, my dear friend Karin Kruger gave me the book, “Women of the Word” as a gift, and I could not put it down! I thought - “This is the book I have been praying about for a long time”!

  • Members Meeting on May 3

Our second quarter Members Meeting will be held this Sunday evening, May 3, from 6:30-8:00pm. We have a number of important topics on the agenda: 1) Our partnership with Sovereign Grace After several months of deliberation, the Council of Elders approved a revised partnership agreement designed to compliment our Book of Church Order. All Sovereign Grace elderships are required to sign the revised partnership agreement by June 1, 2015.

  • Lunch This Sunday

First Sunday lunches provide a great opportunity to meet new people at Kingsway. We'll enjoy a regular potluck lunch after the meeting on May 3. Bring food to share!

  • Girls Night Out Tomorrow

On Monday, April 27, Ladies 13+ are welcome to join us for a Girls Night Out at Sweet Frog Westchester Commons starting at 7pm. It's the perfect setting for strengthening friendships and plenty of laughter. The event is on rain or shine.    Posted by Matthew

  • Membership Matters: Register for Starting Point

In a culture that values individualism, I'm frequently asked the question, “Why should I join a church?  Do I have to be a member of a church to be a Christian?” The answer is an emphatic no.  But that strikes me as the wrong question.

  • Good Friday Service

And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:1-2)   Without question, Jesus' sacrificial death is the centerpiece of the gospel.

  • Easter Egg Hunt

We're excited to host a free Egg Hunt for our Midlothian neighbors on Easter Weekend! Starting at 11am, there will be two different Egg  Hunts - one for kids ages 4 and under, and another 5-11 year olds. Crafts and refreshments will also be available during the event.

  • Ladies Sleepover

Ladies! One of our traditions is to begin the year with a sleepover in the church building.  It’s not only lots of fun, but provides one of the best opportunities of the year to build friendships with other ladies! This year’s sleepover begins Friday at 7:00 pm and ends Saturday at noon.
