  • Opportunities to Give | Christmas Food Box Outreach 2016

Despite the burst of deceptively warm weather here in Midlothian, the Christmas season is in full swing as we journey completely into the Advent season. The city around us is decked in lights and Christmas preparations come in the form of long to-do lists and engagement calendars. It is easy this time of year to place “loving our neighbors” underneath all of the daily items that demand our attention.

  • Local Missions | Pregnancy Resource Center Training Dates

Here in the Richmond area, there are many worthwhile organizations which serve the surrounding community. One such organization that we have highlighted in the past is the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Richmond Metro Area (PRC). Julie Hagen is actively involved in the PRC and has some important information to share below in regard to upcoming volunteer training dates.

  • Christmas Box Outreach 2015

Despite the burst of deceptively warm weather here in Midlothian, December is in full swing as we journey completely into the Advent season. The city around us is decked in lights and Christmas preparations come in the form of long to do lists and engagement calendars. • Food Pantry...It's Not Just About Serving Food

What? A food pantry that doesn’t just serve food? What does the KingsWay food pantry do then?

  • Provision Garden Planting Day

Perhaps you've noticed the large plot of tilled soil at the back of our church property. It's called the Provision Garden, and it provides nourishing, fresh food to distribute through our Food Pantry. We are very grateful to MaryBeth Haggard for managing the garden and creating opportunities for all of us to get involved - whether you think you have a green thumb or not.  Provision Garden is hosting a backyard picnic and planting day after the service this Sunday (May 4).

  • Provision Garden

If you've been around Kingsway for a while, you probably already know about our Food Pantry. What you may not know is that we planted a garden on our church property last spring to grow nourishing, fresh food to supplement our Food Pantry. It's called the Provision Garden and is the brainchild of MaryBeth Haggard.

  • Mercy Ministry Report

God has been exceedingly gracious to us through Jesus. His life, death, and resurrection testify to God’s heart to give us what we do not deserve and could never earn - the gift of eternal life. He is a generous King, and his generosity compels our own.

  • The Food Pantry in Action

I want Kingsway to be known in Midlothian for radical generosity, a place where people with material needs receive abundant provision. The reason is simple. God has been exceptionally generous to us through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Testimony: Compassion in Action

God recently gave Peter Burdette, one of our church members, an opportunity to step outside his comfort zone and share the love of Jesus with a total stranger.  Here's his description of what took place.  Thanks for your example, Peter!

  • Gifts for Foster Children

Last month, each of our Community Groups "adopted" a child in the Henrico County foster care system and pooled their resources to buy them Christmas gifts.  My Community Group adopted a young boy named, Micah.  Aliza and I were thrilled to share God's love with him in a practical way, especially since we have a 1-year old Micah of our own.
