Good Friday Service

Good Friday Service

And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
(1 Corinthians 2:1-2)

Without question, Jesus' sacrificial death is the centerpiece of the gospel. Without it there would be no forgiveness. Without it there would be no freedom. Without it there would be no hope.

The reward of his suffering has massive implications for every area of life, which is why the goal of all our Sunday gatherings is to remember and respond to the gospel. Yet we also well to set aside certain days of the year to focus on the necessity of Jesus' death and stand in awe of God's mercy toward sinners like you and me.

On Friday, April 3 from 7-8pm, we will gather in the auditorium to do just that. Chris Deloglos will lead us in a brief meditation on the crucifixion, then we'll share the Lord's Supper and spend the rest of our time singing. Children of all ages are welcome to participate.
