Sunday Review: December 11, 2016
Below is a brief discussion of our meeting on Sunday, followed by a few discussion questions for Community Group or personal study this week.
Josh opened our time together with announcements and Kevin Khoffie led us in a responsive reading from Luke 1:46-55.
We sang He Who is Mighty, Sovereign, He's Always Been Faithful, and Emmanuel (Hallowed Manger Ground).
Matthew prayed "The Gift of Gifts" from Valley of Vision, we gave offerings, and sang a reprise of Emmanuel (Hallowed Manger Ground).
Bob Shanks read Daniel 7, and Matthew preached the next message in our current series, Dominion: The Book of Daniel. The message, "Jesus Wins - Part 2" can be heard again on our Audio Resources page.
After the message we sang Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery and Matthew closed the meeting with a benediction.
1. What did Matthew teach was the core of allegiance and loyalty of the human heart? When Adam and Eve sinned, how was this affected?
2. When we can't perceive any fruit from all of our acts of service, what keeps us from throwing in the towel? Why do we keep going? In what ways does the glory of God and the worth of Christ sustain our boldness and compel our perseverance?
3. What areas of your life do you find this perseverance to be most difficult? How has the Holy Spirit equipped you to wait on the Lord?
