Sunday Review: December 18, 2016

Below is a brief review of our meeting on Sunday, followed by a few discussion questions for Community Groups or personal study this week.

Josh opened our time together with a Call to Worship from Luke 1:68-75

We sang Joy to the World and He Who is Mighty.

Claudia Crichigno led us in a prayer of confession and we sang When Love Came Down.

Will Hagen read Daniel 8 and Matthew preached the message "Faithful in Sorrow" as part of our current series, Dominion: The Book of DanielTo listen to the message again, visit our Audio Resources page.

After the message we sang The Lord is My Salvation and Chris led us in Communion.

After communion, Chris made a special announcement regarding our Lead Pastor search process. He shared with the church that the search process was coming to a conclusion and that Matthew would be officially installed as the new Lead Pastor of KingsWay at a special Sunday Meeting on January 15th.

Matthew closed the meeting with a benediction.

Discussion Questions:

1. What is the cause of suffering? Why must the word of God lead us in being honest about evil before we can receive what the word of God says about the comfort of Christ?

2. Matthew taught that God controls the sorrow in your future. All of it is appointed, none of it is random. How do we know this for sure? What are the implications of God's complete control within our lives?

3. What roles do our humility, compassion, and obedience play as we strive to be faithful to God? Which of these areas is most difficult for you?

4. Are there sorrows in your life currently that you are suffering through? In what ways have you seen, or have faith to see in the future, those sorrows used for God's glory and your good?
