Sunday Review | November 27, 2016
Below is a brief review of our meeting on Sunday, followed by a few discussion questions for Community Group or personal study this week.
Matthew opened our time together with welcome and announcements and Bob Shanks led us in a prayer of praise.
We sang come praise and glorify and Kevin read Psalm 32.
We sang O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus, Psalm 62, and Jesus Son of God.
Beth Webb read the scripture for the message, Daniel 6. Matthew prayed and preached the message, "Protected by God" as the next in our current series Dominion: The Book of Daniel. To listen to the message again, visit our Audio Resources page.
After the message we sang The Saving One and Matthew closed our time together with a benediction.
1. Matthew taught that if you are living as a Christian you live with a guarantee of personal, eternal security. What does this mean? Do you feel like you have experienced this level of surety in your own life?
2. What does God's name of "Lord of Hosts" mean? What is the significance of such a title?
3. What is the reward of joyful obedience? What does the Lord's protection look like throughout the course of our entire lives?
4. Matthew taught that we must make a conscious and deliberate choice to turn away from trusting men and turn toward trusting God. What does this look like? What things in your heart make this process difficult?
