Thoughts from the Parenting Conference

Thoughts from the Parenting Conference

Last weekend, multiple families of all ages attended the parenting conference that we hosted with teaching from Dr. Paul David Tripp. Thank you for all who joined us, it was a fruitful time. Below are some comments from John Buffington - a longtime KingsWay member and father of three young boys.

"Thank you for hosting the Parenting Conference this past weekend.  The Lord certainly used it to convict me in specific ways, but He also provided faith to live out what God has called us to through the material and through the scriptures Dr. Tripp referenced.  I was specifically challenged by the reality that when my children sin, it is a moment to be thankful for as an opportunity to help them diagnose their hearts, see their need of a savior, and point them to Jesus.  So often my tendency is to become frustrated by these moments instead of seeing them as God-given gospel opportunities.  Of course I haven’t lived this out perfectly since taking the class as I am a work-in-progress myself, but I have definitely seen a shift in thinking that has helped me to be a little more patient and intentional in those moments.  Thanks for your investment in us as parents so that we can faithfully shepherd our boys!"

If you missed all or part of the conference and would like access to the material, please let Serena Deloglos know at Content will be available until November 30, 2018.
