What To Expect

As you turn onto our entrance road from Sovereign Grace Drive, parking lot attendants will direct you to a reserved parking area close to the church building. At the front door, some friendly people (we call the "hosts") will greet you, answer any questions you have, and direct you to our main meeting room. If you have children ten and under, a host will point you to our children's ministry (King's Kids) registration area where you will receive a security card which will be used to pick up your children after the meeting. Children under six may be dropped off right away, while children six to ten will join their parents for the first part of the meeting. We also offer a nursery with age-appropriate toys and cribs with fresh linens for sleeping babies and a nursing mother's room for babies who need to stay with their moms during the meeting!

You'll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in anything from dressy to "office casual" to jeans. Our Celebration meeting begins with singing at 10 a.m.  Our worship leader leads our musicians with a contemporary feel (drums, guitars, keyboards, vocalists). You'll learn some new tunes to encourage you all week long.

Following worship, we'll release six to ten year olds for classes with trained and enthusiastic teachers. Then I (or another pastor) will share a message. We usually speak for about 45 minutes, and do our best to make the messages interesting, enjoyable, and applicable to daily life. The message will be based on the Bible, and will often include quotes and illustrations. If we do our job right, you'll hear solid Christian teaching in a manner that is intelligent, understandable, and relevant.

At around 11:30, the meeting ends and you'll pick up your children from their classrooms and then we hope you'll linger and meet some people over coffee or juice. Church is about God and worship, but it's also about community and friendship. So we hope you will really experience warmth and friendliness at KingsWay.

Thanks,
Gene
