Impact, our ministry for 11-13 year olds, exists to serve parents by helping youth understand their need for and response to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We recognize the middle school years are a critical time of formation, both in terms of a parent’s relationship with their child and a child’s relationship with God. While Frontline, our high school ministry, focuses on the link between gospel and life, Impact emphasizes the connection between gospel and heart. Parents and youth gather once a month on Friday night for worship, teaching, one-on-one discussion, and games. Impact teaching series seek to creatively communicate one of five core gospel truths laying a foundation for glorifying God during the high school years. - God created me for relationship with him
- Right relationship with God is built on the gospel
- My heart controls my behavior
- Only God can change my heart
- God cares for me through my parents
We have especially seen God’s grace at work during the time of one-on-one discussion between parents and youth after the message. As the relationship between youth and their parents is strengthened, parents are more effectively positioned to help lead their children in relationship with God. Impact also hosts four annual activities for parents and youth. Monthly meetings start at 7:30 PM. Upcoming events are posted on the KingsWay Event Calendar. |
