Pastor's Blog: Upcoming Bolivia Mission Trips

upcoming bolivia missions trips

The KingsWay Bolivia missions team members are excited and making much preparation to embark on July 7th for our 2023 Bolivia Missions Trips. This year, 9 Kingsway members will team up with 16 members of Mercy Hill Church and 5 folks from other churches to care for our brothers and sisters in Bolivia. Together we intend to continue serving the practical needs of the communities of Casa de Esperanza in Caranavi and our sister church in Santa Cruz. We are privileged to partner with them to proclaim the gospel of Christ and to demonstrate the love of Jesus while building relationally through practical works of service.

Week 1: Casa de Esperanza Orphanage

Week 1 (July 7-15) will be spent at the Casa De Esperanza orphanage where a Medical Team and a Care, Serve, & Invest team will actively work to strengthen health needs as well as bring gospel truths through relationship building, presentation of Bible stories, skits, and crafts. More than 60 children live at Casa de Esperanza (“House of Hope”), and 15 staff care for them on an ongoing basis. We look forward to lending a hand! The following video beautifully encapsulates Casa de Esperanza’s mission.

KingsWay has been privileged and blessed to partner with Casa de Esperanza for 12 years now. Our International Missions Committee stays in regular communication with the special couple who runs the orphanage, facilitating our material and prayer support to them throughout the year. The KingsWay members traveling to Caranavi this summer are Chris & Maria Deloglos, Mercy Robertson, Rich & Anna Rogness, Ben Taylor, & Ted Williams.

Visit the Casa de Esperanza website to learn more and to be captivated by these precious children!

Week 2: Sister Church in Santa Cruz

Week 2 (July 16-23) will be spent with our sister church in Santa Cruz, Bolivia: Iglesia Gracia Soberana (“Sovereign Grace Church”). Together, we will build relationally, reach out to the surrounding community, conduct a marriage seminar, and serve at a young girls shelter/orphanage named Fundación Nuevo Corazón. KingsWay team members traveling in this capacity are: Chris & Maria Deloglos, Mercy Robertson, Anna Rogness, & Ben Taylor.

You may remember the pastoral team leading this new Sovereign Grace church, having established it in 2020: David del Castillo (far left) serves as the lead pastor, and David’s father Jorge (far right) serves in a supporting pastoral role. They are shown here with their wives Jadwe and Tere, and David and Jadwe’s young girls Luciana and Rebeca.

Please consider contributing to the needs of these trips:

Items needed include: children’s vitamins, ibuprofen, markers and crayons, craft supplies, used suitcases, pens, sharpie markers (various colors), toothpaste, and toothbrushes. Please bring any items to church on a Sunday morning up until Sunday July 1 and give them to Anna Rogness, Chris Deloglos, or Mercy Robertson

Financial donations would be appreciated to allow us to purchase extra suitcases to carry supplies and to fund needed laboratory tests for the children. Financial donations can be given to KingsWay, and please mark “Bolivia Missions Trips” in the memo line.

Prayer

We appreciate your prayers for boldness, strength, and wisdom to serve and proclaim Christ. Thank you! May only he be glorified and his name exalted!

“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
