DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. Do you think of God’s care for you as strong and tender? Where have you experienced Deut 32:11 recently? “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, the LORD alone guided him.”

  2. Do you tend to be more mindful of the Lord in adversity or prosperity? What alternatives to the Everlasting Rock are most tempting for you?

  3. Many people think, “God would never judge me. I’m one of the good guys.” Can you relate? How has God used the painful consequences of sin to bring your wandering heart back to him?

  4. Why is the God-centeredness of God a good thing for us?

  5. We tend to think of judgment and salvation as opposites. How does God accomplish salvation through judgment?

  6. Where do you need to remember this week that the Lord alone is God? What would rejoicing with the Lord and submitting to the Lord look like in that situation?
