Sunday Review: 1/21/2024

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. Are you surprised Deuteronomy ends with a declaration of abundant blessing on God’s people? Why or why not?

  2. What does God’s blessing consist of? Do you think of yourself as a person whom God has blessed?

  3. Is God’s blessing the foundation of your joy? What habits help you to remember happiness comes from relationship with God?

  4. To be a Christian is to both live in God’s dwelling place and be upheld there by “everlasting arms.” Do you live secure in God’s love for you? What threatens your assurance?

  5. How does the doctrine of election bring comfort when all we see in ourselves is unlovely?

  6. Do you think of God’s blessing on his people as generic or specific? How does the particularity of God’s promises in Deut 33 help you to trust the Lord?
